  • al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī

machine translationAl-Dāraquṭnī was asked about it and said: It is narrated by Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh, Muṣʿab b. Ṣadaqah, the father of Muḥammad b. Muṣʿab, and Saʿīd b. Maslamah, and they agreed on its being raised (marfūʿ), except Yaḥyā b. Sulaym, who made it stopped (mawqūf) at Ismāʿīl b. Umayyah; its being raised is sound (ṣaḥīḥ). It was said that those who reported it as stopped from Yaḥyā b. Sulaym were ʿAbd al-Jabbār b. al-ʿAlāʾ and al-Ḥasan b. Muḥammad al-Zaʿfarānī. And it was narrated by al-Ḥumaydī, Suwayd b. Saʿīd, Abū Maʿmar al-Hudhalī and Abū al-Sarī Sahl b. Maḥmūd from Yaḥyā as raised (marfūʿ).
