حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

مَنْ أَتَمَّ الْوُضُوءَ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ اللهُ فَالصَّلَوَاتُ الْمَكْتُوبَاتُ كَفَّارَاتٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ.

I heard Humran bin Aban telling Abu Burdah in the mosque that he heard ʿUthman bin ʿAffan ؓ narrate from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: “Whoever does wudoo’ properly as enjoined by Allah, the prescribed prayers will be expiations for whatever comes between them.ʿ
