حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْكِلَابِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَفَ عَلَى قَلِيبِ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ: هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّهُمْ لَيَسْمَعُونَ مَا أَقُولُ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ: وَهِلَ - يَعْنِي: ابْنَ عُمَرَ -، إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّهُمُ الْآنَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الَّذِي كُنْتُ أَقُولُ لَهُمْ لَهُوَ الْحَقُّ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ stood over the well of Badr and said: Have you found what your Lord promised to be true? Then he said: They hear what I say. This was mentioned to Aisha, and she said: Ibn Umar erred. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only said: They now know that what I used to tell them is the truth.
