✧ Umar acquired some land at Khaybar, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ and consulted him about it. He said: "I have acquired land at Khaybar; I have never acquired property more precious to me than it, so what do you command regarding it?" He said: "If you wish, you may make its original endowment and give it as charity." He said: "So Umar gave it as charity, on condition that it would not be sold, given as a gift, or inherited." He said: "So Umar gave it as charity for the poor, the near relatives, the freeing of slaves, in the cause of Allah, Blessed and Exalted, for the wayfarer, and for the guest. There is no blame on the one who administers it if he eats from it according to what is reasonable, or feeds a friend, without enriching himself from it."
