Translation

✧ On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said while on the steps of the Ka‘bah: “Praise be to Allah who has fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and defeated the confederates alone. Surely the victim of deliberate killing by mistake with a whip or stick requires one hundred camels”—and once he said, “the intensified [diya]”—“among them forty pregnant camels with young in their wombs. Surely every boastful deed of the Age of Ignorance, and every blood [claim] and claim”—and once he said, “and blood and wealth”—“is under these two feet of mine, except the providing of water for the pilgrims and the custodianship of the House, for I shall uphold them for their people as they were.”
