✧ Uthman performed Hajj until when he was on part of the road, Ali was told that Uthman had forbidden his companions from tamattu‘ with ‘umrah and Hajj. So Ali said to his companions: When he departs, then depart. So Ali and his companions entered ihram for ‘umrah, and Uthman did not speak to them. Then Ali said: Was I not told that you forbade tamattu‘? Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not perform tamattu‘? He said: I do not know what Uthman answered him.
