✧ Umm Ḥabībah said: ‘O Allah, let me enjoy my husband, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and my father, Abū Sufyān, and my brother, Mu‘āwiyah.’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘You have asked Allah, Mighty and Glorious, for appointed terms, numbered days, and distributed provisions. He will not hasten anything before its time or delay anything beyond its time. If you had asked Allah, Mighty and Glorious, to protect you from punishment in the Fire or punishment in the grave, it would have been better and more excellent.’ He said: And it was mentioned in his presence that monkeys—Mis‘ar said: I think he said: and pigs—were among those transformed. He said: The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Indeed, Allah, Mighty and Glorious, did not grant to any transformed creature offspring or descendants. Monkeys—I think he said: and pigs—existed before that.’
