حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ قَوْمًا أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا: صَاحِبٌ لَنَا يَشْتَكِي أَنَكْوِيهِ؟ قَالَ: فَسَكَتَ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا: أَنَكْوِيهِ؟ فَسَكَتَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اكْوُوهُ، وَارْضِفُوهُ رَضْفًا.

Translation

✧ Some people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: ‘A companion of ours is ill; shall we cauterize him?’ He said: He kept silent. Then they said: ‘Shall we cauterize him?’ He kept silent. Then he said: ‘Cauterize him and scorch him with heated stones.’
