حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، وَحَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ سِتُّونَ وَثَلَاثُ مِائَةِ نُصُبٍ، فَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُهَا بِعُودٍ كَانَ بِيَدِهِ وَيَقُولُ: جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا.

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered while there were three hundred and sixty idols around the Kaaba, and he began striking them with a stick he had in his hand, saying: "Truth has come, and falsehood can neither originate nor bring back; truth has come and falsehood has perished; indeed falsehood is bound to perish."
