حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضُ، فَالْبَسُوهَا، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ، وَخَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ

Translation

✧ The best of your garments are white, so wear them and shroud your dead in them, and the best of your kohl is ithmid.
