حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ رُسْتُمَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَلَمْ أُصَلِّ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ، فَرَآنِي وَأَنَا أُصَلِّيهِمَا، فَمَدَّنِي، وَقَالَ: أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ الصُّبْحَ أَرْبَعًا ؟ فَقِيلَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

Translation

✧ The prayer was commenced while I had not prayed the two rak'ahs, so he saw me praying them, and he pulled me and said: Do you want to pray the morning prayer as four? It was said to Ibn Abbas: From the Prophet ﷺ? He said: Yes.
