✧ A man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque on Friday while Umar b. al-Khattab was standing delivering the sermon. Umar said, 'What hour is this?' He replied, 'O Commander of the Faithful, I returned from the market, then I heard the call, so I did no more than perform ablution, then I came.' Umar said, 'Ablution too? You knew that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to perform the full bath.'
