✧ A man from Tahiya went out as an emigrant, called Bayrah b. Asad. He arrived in Madinah a few days after the death of the Messenger of God ﷺ. Umar saw him and knew he was a stranger. He said to him: 'Who are you?' He said: 'From the people of Oman.' He said: 'From the people of Oman?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: Then he took his hand and brought him to Abu Bakr, and said: 'This is from the land about which I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "I know a land called Oman, whose coast is washed by the sea. There is a tribe of Arabs there. If my messenger came to them, they would not shoot him with an arrow or stone."'
