✧ Abu Umama put on a new garment. When it reached his collarbone, he said: 'Praise be to God who clothed me with what I cover my private parts and beautify myself in my life.' Then he said: 'I heard Umar b. al-Khattab say: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Whoever acquires a new garment and wears it, and when it reaches his collarbone says: "Praise be to God who clothed me with what I cover my private parts and beautify myself in my life," then takes the garment that he wore out—or he said: that he cast off—and gives it in charity, he will be in the protection of God [the Exalted], in the neighborhood of God, and in the care of God, alive and dead, alive and dead, alive and dead.'
