✧ A man went out and alcoholic drinks were considered permissible. So he presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a container of wine. The man started leading it on a camel until he found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sitting. He asked, "What is this with you?" He replied, "A container of wine that I gifted to you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Did you know that Allah the Almighty has declared it prohibited?" He replied, "No." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has prohibited it." The man then turned to the person who was leading the camel and spoke to him privately. The person asked, "What did you say to him?" He replied, "I ordered him to sell it." The person said, "The one who has prohibited its consumption, has also prohibited its sale." The man then ordered for the container to be smashed and it was thrown in the dust. I looked at it in the sandy ground, and there was nothing in it.
