حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَأَعْطَى الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ، وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ، وَكَانَ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي الْأَخْدَعَيْنِ، وَبَيْنَ الْكَتِفَيْنِ، وَكَانَ يَحْجُمُهُ عَبْدٌ لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ، وَكَانَ يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مُدٌّ وَنِصْفٌ، فَشَفَعَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ، فَجُعِلَ مُدًّا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had cupping done and gave the cupper his wage. If it had been forbidden, he would not have given it to him. He used to have cupping done on the two jugular veins and between the shoulders. A slave of Banu Bayadah used to cup him, and a mudd and a half was taken from him every day. The Prophet ﷺ interceded for him with his owners, and it was made one mudd.
