✧ Asma bt. Yazid b. al-Sakan, one of the women of Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal, entered upon him one day and brought him some food, but he said, 'I do not desire it.' She said, 'I adorned A'isha for the Messenger of God ﷺ, then went to him and invited him to her unveiling. He came and sat beside her, and a bowl of milk was brought. He drank, then the Prophet ﷺ handed it to her, but she lowered her head in shyness. Asma said: I scolded her and said, "Take it from the hand of the Prophet ﷺ." She said: So she took it and drank a little. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Give it to your companion." Asma said: I said, "O Messenger of God, rather take it and drink from it, then hand it to me from your hand." So he took it, drank from it, then handed it to me. She said: I sat down, placed it on my knee, and began turning it and following it with my lips to catch the place where the Prophet ﷺ had drunk. Then he said to some women with me, "Give it to them." They said, "We do not desire it." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not combine hunger with lying. Will you desist from saying 'I do not desire it'?" I said, "Dear mother, I will never do it again."
