✧ that some people from Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he taught them the prayer, the sunan, and the obligatory duties. Then they said, “O Messenger of Allah, we have a drink we make from wheat and barley.” He said, “Al-ghubayra’ (a fermented drink)?” They said, “Yes.” He said, “Do not drink it.” Then two days later they mentioned it to him again, and he said, “Al-ghubayra’?” They said, “Yes.” He said, “Do not drink it.” Then when they were about to leave, they asked him about it again, and he said, “Al-ghubayra’?” They said, “Yes.” He said, “Do not drink it.” They said, “They will not give it up.” He said, “Whoever does not give it up, strike his neck.”
