حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ دُرَّةَ بِنْتَ مُعَاذٍ تُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَتَزَاوَرُ إِذَا مِتْنَا، وَيَرَى بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: تَكُونُ النَّسَمُ طَيْرًا تَعْلَقُ بِالشَّجَرِ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ دَخَلَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ فِي جَسَدِهَا

Translation

✧ She asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “Will we visit each other when we die, and will some of us see others?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The souls will be birds hanging on trees, until on the Day of Resurrection every soul enters its body.”
