✧ I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of the conquest and found him bathing, while his daughter Fatimah was screening him with a cloth. She said: I greeted, and he said: “Who is this?” [He said: She said:] “Umm Hani' bt. Abi Talib.” He said: “Welcome to Umm Hani'!” She said: When he finished his bath, he stood and prayed eight rak'ahs wrapped in a single cloth, then he left. I said: “O Messenger of Allah, the son of my mother claims that he will kill a man I have granted protection to, so-and-so b. Hubayrah.” He said: “We have granted protection to the one you have granted protection to, O Umm Hani'.” Umm Hani' said: And that was in the forenoon.
