حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ
نَازَعَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فِي الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ، فَقُلْتُ: تَزَوَّجُ إِذَا وَضَعَتْ. فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ الطُّفَيْلِ - أُمُّ وَلَدِي - لِعُمَرَ وَلِي: قَدْ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سُبَيْعَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّةَ أَنْ تَنْكِحَ إِذَا وَضَعَتْ
Translation

✧ ‘Umar b. al-Khattab argued with me about a woman whose husband died while she was pregnant. I said: “She may marry when she gives birth.” Umm al-Tufayl—the mother of my child—said to ‘Umar and me: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded Subay‘ah al-Aslamiyyah to marry when she gave birth.”
