حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مَوْلَاتِهِ لَيْلَى عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا. قَالَ: وَثَابَ إِلَيْهَا رِجَالٌ مِنْ قَوْمِهَا، قَالَ: فَقَدَّمَتْ إِلَيْهِمْ تَمْرًا فَأَكَلُوا فَتَنَحَّى رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَا شَأْنُهُ ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَمَا إِنَّهُ مَا مِنْ صَائِمٍ يَأْكُلُ عِنْدَهُ مَفَاطِيرُ إِلَّا صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يَقُومُوا

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon her. He said: And some men of her people came to her. He said: She offered them dates, and they ate, but one of the men held back. The Prophet ﷺ said: What is the matter with him? She said: He is fasting. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Indeed, no fasting person has those who have broken their fast eat in his presence except that the angels pray for him until they get up.
