✧ I entered with a son of mine upon the Messenger of God ﷺ who had not yet eaten food, and he urinated, so he called for water and sprinkled it. And I entered with a son of mine for whom I had hung a talisman—or he said once: on him—for the uvula (al-'udhra). He said: "Why do you press your children's throats with this hanging remedy? Upon you is this costus (al-qust)—and Sufyan said once: the Indian wood (al-'ud al-hindi)—for in it are seven cures, among them pleurisy (dhat al-janb). It is applied through the nose for the uvula and administered as a drench for pleurisy."
