✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed during the eclipse. She said: He lengthened the standing, then bowed and lengthened the bowing, then raised and lengthened the standing, then bowed and lengthened the bowing, then raised. Then he prostrated and lengthened the prostration, then raised, then prostrated and lengthened the prostration, then stood and lengthened the standing, then bowed and lengthened the bowing, then raised and lengthened the standing, then bowed and lengthened the bowing, then raised. Then he prostrated and lengthened the prostration, then raised, then prostrated and lengthened the prostration. Then he finished and said: 'Paradise came near to me so much that if I had dared, I would have brought you a bunch from its bunches, and Hell came near to me until I said: O Lord, am I with them? And there was a woman—Nafi' said: I think he said—a cat was scratching her. I said: What is the matter with this one? It was said to me: She confined it until it died; she neither fed it nor let it go to eat from the creatures of the earth.'
