حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ: أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ ؟ قَالَتْ: لَا. قُلْتُ: فَإِنَّ عَائِشَةَ تُخْبِرُ النَّاسَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ قَالَتْ: لَعَلَّهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَتَمَالَكُ عَنْهَا حُبًّا، أَمَّا أَنَا فَلَا
Translation

✧ I said to Umm Salamah, “Would the Messenger of God ﷺ kiss while fasting?” She said, “No.” I said, “But ʿĀʾishah tells people that the Messenger of God ﷺ would kiss while fasting.” She said, “Perhaps he could not restrain himself from her out of love; as for me, no.”
