machine translationJaʿfar b. Muḥammad narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ḥātim b. Ismāʿīl narrated it from Jaʿfar, from his father, from al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī, from Zaynab, from Umm Salamah, and he erred in his saying "from al-Ḥusayn"; rather, Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad narrated it from his father, from ʿAlī b. Ḥusayn, from Zaynab, from Umm Salamah. Likewise it was narrated by Sulaymān b. Bilāl, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth, al-Sarī b. ʿAbdillāh and ʿAlī b. Gharāb. Abū Jaʿfar al-Rāzī narrated it from Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad, from his father, from ʿAlī b. Ḥusayn, from Umm Salamah, and did not mention Zaynab in it. The correct (ṣaḥīḥ) view is that of those who said: from ʿAlī b. Ḥusayn, from Zaynab.
