Translation

✧ I asked Ibn Abbas: How old did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reach on the day he died? He said: I did not think someone like you among his people would be unaware of that! I said: I did ask, but I received conflicting answers, so I wanted to know your view on it. He said: Can you calculate? I said: Yes. He said: Then hold: forty, he was sent for; fifteen, he remained in Makkah, secure and in fear; and ten, he migrated to Madinah.
