✧ Al-Harith b. Hisham asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "O Messenger of Allah, how does revelation come to you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Sometimes it comes to me like the ringing of a bell, and that is the hardest upon me; then it leaves me and I have retained what he said. Sometimes the angel comes to me in the form of a man and speaks to me, and I retain what he says." Aishah said: "I saw it descending upon him on a severely cold day, and when it left him, his forehead was dripping with sweat."
