حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِأَخِي عَمْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ

إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ فَيُخِفُّهُمَا، حَتَّى إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَقُولُ: هَلْ قَرَأَ فِيهِمَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ ؟

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the two rak'ahs before Fajr and make them very brief, so much so that I would say: Did he recite the Mother of the Qur'an in them?
