حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَى نَاشِئًا فِي السَّمَاءِ سَحَابًا أَوْ رِيحًا اسْتَقْبَلَهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ كَانَ، وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يَتَعَوَّذُ بِاللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ شَرِّهِ، فَإِذَا أَمْطَرَتْ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ سَيْبًا نَافِعًا

Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ saw a cloud or wind appearing in the sky, he would face it from wherever he was, and if he was in prayer he would seek refuge with Allah, Mighty and Majestic, from its evil. When it rained, he would say: O Allah, make it a beneficial downpour.
