✧ I asked Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of God ﷺ. She said: He used to pray four rak'ahs before the noon prayer, two after it, two before the afternoon prayer, two after the sunset prayer, and two after the night prayer. Then he would pray nine rak'ahs at night. I said: Standing or sitting? She said: He would pray at length standing at night and at length sitting. I said: What would he do when standing? And what would he do when sitting? She said: When he recited standing, he bowed standing, and when he recited sitting, he bowed sitting. And two rak'ahs before the dawn prayer.
