  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAs for the hadith of ʿUmar b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUrwah, he narrates it from ʿUrwah and al-Qāsim, from ʿĀʾishah. Ibn Jurayj said that from him, and a group narrated it from Ibn Jurayj in this way. It has also been narrated from Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh, from Ibn Jurayj, who said ʿAmr b. Dīnār in place of ʿUmar b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUrwah, and that is an error (wahm). The first account from Ibn Jurayj is the correct one.
