حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَائِشَةَوَوَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ، أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ ؟ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ: قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ يَحْيَى: [قَالَ: ] لَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِالْحَيْضِ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكِ عِرْقٌ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، فَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي. قَالَ يَحْيَى: قُلْتُ لِهِشَامٍ: أَغُسْلٌ وَاحِدٌ تَغْتَسِلُ وَتَوَضَّأُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

✧ Fatimah bt. Abi Hubaysh came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I have prolonged bleeding and do not become pure; should I abandon prayer?' Waki' said: He said: 'No.' Yahya said: He said: 'That is not menstruation; it is a vein. When the menstrual period comes, leave the prayer; and when it departs, wash the blood from yourself and pray.' Yahya said: I asked Hisham: 'Is it a single washing, and she performs wudu for each prayer?' He said: 'Yes.'
