حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُعْجِبُهُ التَّيَمُّنُ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ، فِي تَرَجُّلِهِ، وَفِي طُهُورِهِ، وَفِي نَعْلِهِ. قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُحِبُّ أَوْ يُعْجِبُهُ التَّيَمُّنُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ liked to begin on the right side in all his affairs: in combing his hair, in his purification, and in putting on his sandals. Shu'bah said: Then I asked him after that, and he said: The Prophet ﷺ loved — or liked — to begin on the right as much as he could.
