حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ عَنْ مُجَاهِدِ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ مَوْلًى لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ خَرَّ مِنْ عِذْقِ نَخْلَةٍ فَمَاتَ، فَأُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: هَلْ لَهُ مِنْ نَسَبٍ أَوْ رَحِمٍ ؟ قَالُوا: لَا، قَالَ: أَعْطُوا مِيرَاثَهُ بَعْضَ أَهْلِ قَرْيَتِهِ.

✧ That a freed slave of the Prophet ﷺ fell from a palm branch and died. He was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, who said: Does he have any lineage or kin? They said: No. He said: Give his inheritance to some of the people of his village.
