حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
افْتَقَدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ ذَهَبَ إِلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ. قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ: فَتَحَسَّسْتُ ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ، فَإِذَا هُوَ رَاكِعٌ أَوْ سَاجِدٌ يَقُولُ: سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ. فَقُلْتُ: بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي، إِنَّكَ لَفِي شَأْنٍ، وَإِنِّي لَفِي آخَرَ.

✧ I missed the Prophet ﷺ one night, and I thought he had gone to one of his other wives. Abd al-Razzaq said: So I searched for him and then returned, and there he was, bowing or prostrating, saying: Glory be to You and praise be to You; there is no god but You. I said: May my father and mother be your ransom, you are engaged in one matter and I in another.
