✧ Umm Sunbula gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ some milk as a gift, but she did not find him. So she said to her: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been forbidden to eat the food of the Bedouins. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr entered. He said: What is this with you, O Umm Sunbula? She said: Milk that I gave you as a gift, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Pour it, O Umm Sunbula. So she poured. He said: Hand it to Abu Bakr. So she did. He said: Pour it, O Umm Sunbula, and hand it to Aisha. So she handed it to her, and she drank. Then he said: Pour it, O Umm Sunbula. So she poured, and she handed it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he drank. Aisha said, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was drinking the milk of Aslam: How cool it is on the liver! O Messenger of Allah, you had told us that you had been forbidden from the food of the Bedouins? He said: O Aisha, they are not Bedouins. They are the people of our desert, and we are the people of their settled area. When they are called, they respond. So they are not Bedouins.
