Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was on a journey, and a camel belonging to Ṣafiyyah fell ill. Zaynab had spare camels, so the Messenger of God ﷺ said to her: 'A camel of Ṣafiyyah's has fallen ill; if only you would give her a camel from your camels.' She said: 'Am I to give to that Jewess?' She said: 'So the Messenger of God ﷺ left her alone during Dhū al-Ḥijjah and Muḥarram, two or three months, not coming to her.' She said: 'Until I despaired of him and turned my bed around.' She said: 'Then one day, at midday, I suddenly saw the shadow of the Messenger of God ﷺ approaching.' ʿAffān said: 'Ḥammād narrated it to me from Shumaysah from the Prophet ﷺ. Then I later heard him narrate it from Shumaysah from ʿĀʾishah from the Prophet ﷺ.' And he said afterwards: '…on a ḥajj or ʿumrah.' He said: 'I think he said: during the Farewell Pilgrimage.'
