حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا عَادَ مَرِيضًا مَسَحَهُ بِيَدِهِ وَقَالَ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا فَلَمَّا مَرِضَ مَرَضَهُ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ فَذَهَبْتُ لِأَقُولَ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ وَقَالَ اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَاجْعَلْنِي فِي الرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ visited a sick person, he would wipe him with his hand and say, 'Remove the affliction, Lord of mankind, and heal; You are the Healer, there is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness.' When he fell ill with the illness in which he died, Aishah said, 'I took his hand and began to say it, but he withdrew his hand and said, "O God, forgive me and join me with the highest companions."'
