حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهَا تَقُولُ كُنْتُ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ صَعْبٍ فَجَعَلْتُ أَضْرِبُهُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَا يَكُونُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ
Translation

✧ He heard her say: I was on a difficult camel and started to beat it. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: Be gentle, for gentleness is not in anything but that it adorns it, and it is not removed from anything but that it disgraces it.
