✧ The jinn used to listen to the revelation, and they would hear a word and add ten to it. So what they heard was true and what they added was false. Before that, stars were not used to stone them, but when the Prophet ﷺ was sent, one of them would not come to his listening post except that he was struck by a shooting star that burned whatever it hit. They complained of that to Iblīs, who said, 'This is only because of some matter that has occurred.' So he dispatched his troops, and they found the Prophet ﷺ praying between the two mountains of Nakhla. They went back and told him, and he said, 'This is the event that has occurred on earth.'
