حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ, فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ يُصَلِّي لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَائِمًا، وَلَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَاعِدًا، فَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا، وَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا

✧ I asked the Mother of the Believers about the prayer of the Messenger of God ﷺ at night. She said: He used to pray standing for a long time at night, and sitting for a long time at night. When he recited while standing, he bowed while standing; and when he recited while sitting, he bowed while sitting.
