✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was bewitched until it was imagined to him that he did a thing while he did not do it. Until one day, when he was with her, he called upon Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and supplicated to Him. Then he said: 'Do you realize that Allah has given me a ruling concerning what I asked Him about?' I said: 'And what is that, O Messenger of Allah?' He ﷺ said: 'Two men came to me. One of them sat at my head and the other at my feet. Then one of them said to his companion: "What is the man's ailment?" He said: "He is bewitched." He said: "Who bewitched him?" He said: "Labid b. al-A'sam, the Jew." He said: "In what?" He said: "In a comb, hair combings, and the spathe of a male date palm." He said: "Where is it?" He said: "In the well of Dhi Arwan." The Prophet ﷺ went to the well, looked at it, and there were palm trees over it. Then he returned to 'A'ishah and said: "By Allah, its water is like the infusion of henna, and its palm trees are like the heads of devils." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I burn it?" He said: "No. As for me, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has cured me, and I feared to stir up evil against people from it."
