✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained for six months seeing that he was coming to his wives but not coming. Then two angels came to him. One of them sat at his head and the other at his feet. One of them said to the other: 'What is wrong with him?' He said: 'He is bewitched.' He said: 'Who bewitched him?' He said: 'Labid b. al-A'sam.' He said: 'In what?' He said: 'In a comb and hair combings, in the spathe of a male date palm, in the well of Dharwan, under a stone.' The Prophet ﷺ woke up from his sleep and said: 'O 'A'ishah, did you not see that Allah has given me a ruling concerning what I asked Him about?' He went to the well and ordered it, and it was brought out. He said: 'This is the well that I was shown. By Allah, its water is like the infusion of henna, and the heads of its palm trees are like the heads of devils.' 'A'ishah said: 'If only you...?' [He said:] as if she meant that he should be incensed. He said: 'By Allah, Allah has cured me, and I hate to stir up evil against people from it.'
