حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ امْرَأَةً دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهَا وَمَعَهَا ابْنَتَانِ لَهَا، فَأَعْطَتْهَا تَمْرَةً، فَشَقَّتْهَا بَيْنَهُمَا، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَنِ ابْتُلِيَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْبَنَاتِ، فَأَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهِنَّ، كُنَّ لَهُ سِتْرًا مِنَ النَّارِ.

✧ A woman entered upon her with two daughters of hers, and she gave her a date, and she split it between them. I mentioned that to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said: Whoever is tested with any of these daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire.
