حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ يَتْرُكُ الْعَمَلَ وَهُوَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَعْمَلَهُ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ يَسْتَنَّ النَّاسُ بِهِ فَيُفْرَضَ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ مَا خُفِّفَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ الْفَرَائِضِ.

✧ He used to leave off a deed while loving to do it, out of dislike that people would follow his example and it would be made obligatory upon them. And he loved whatever was made lighter for them among the obligatory duties.
