✧ Aflaḥ, the brother of Abū Quʿays, sought permission to enter upon ʿĀʾishah, but she refused to grant him permission. When the Prophet ﷺ came, she said: O Messenger of God, Aflaḥ, the brother of Abū Quʿays, sought permission to enter upon me, but I refused to grant him permission. He said: Grant him permission. She said: O Messenger of God, it was the woman who breastfed me, not the man. He said: Grant him permission, for he is your paternal uncle; may your right hand be dusty.
