حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ أَبِي هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ مَنِ الْمُسْلِمُ؟ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ النَّاسُ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ الْخَطَايَا وَالذَّنُوبَ وَالْمُجَاهِدُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ نَفْسَهُ فِي طَاعَةِ اللهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "Should I not inform you of who a Muslim is? A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are safe, and a believer is one whom people trust with their lives and wealth. And a migrant is one who avoids sins and wrongdoings, and a warrior in the cause of Allah is one who strives against their own desires in obedience to Allah."
