Translation

✧ That Fadalah b. 'Ubayd al-Ansari used to say: We went on the expedition of Tabuk with the Prophet ﷺ, and the riding beasts became extremely exhausted, so they complained to the Prophet ﷺ about the exhaustion of their mounts. He waited for a narrow pass with them, and the Prophet ﷺ traveled through it, then he said: Pass on in the name of God. So the people passed by him with their mounts, and he began to blow on their mounts [supplicating]: O God, carry them in Your path, for You carry the strong and the weak, the fresh and the dry, on land and sea. He said: We had not reached Madinah before the mounts began pulling at their reins [out of energy]. Fadalah said: This is the supplication of the Prophet ﷺ for the strong and the weak, but what about the fresh and the dry? Then when we came to Syria, we went on the expedition of Cyprus by sea. When I saw the ships in the sea and what entered them, I recognized the supplication of the Prophet ﷺ.
