حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ
لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْفَتْحِ قَضَوْا طَوَافَهُمْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ فَغَفَلَ عَنْهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَلَمَّا أُنْبِئَ بِدُخُولِهِ أَقْبَلَ يَرْكَبُ أَعْنَاقَ الرِّجَالِ فَدَخَلَ يَقْتَدِي بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي؟ فَتَلَقَّاهُ عِنْدَ الْبَابِ خَارِجًا فَسَأَلَ بِلَالًا الْمُؤَذِّنَ كَيْفَ صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حِينَ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ حِيَالَ وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ دَعَا اللهَ ﷻ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ خَرَجَ

✧ On the Day of the Conquest, they completed their circumambulation of the House and of al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah. Then the Prophet ﷺ entered the House, and Ibn ʿUmar missed him. When he was told he had entered, he came riding over the men’s necks and entered to follow the Prophet ﷺ to see how he prayed. He met him at the door as he was coming out, and asked Bilāl the muezzin what the Prophet ﷺ did when he entered the Kaʿbah. He said: He prayed two rakʿahs facing it, then called upon God ﷻ for a while, then came out.
